Wildwood's 11th Annual Holiday Bazaar

Every year, Wildwood hosts our Annual Holiday Bazaar which benefits a fantastic charity, the North Hills Community Outreach (NHCO)! Our Holiday Bazaar is a craft and vendor show featuring 30+ talented small business owners from around the Pittsburgh area who come to Wildwood to sell their products. As previously mentioned, the Bazaar is an event that we hold to help raise money for NHCO through table fees and our raffle held at the main entrance. This event is not only for members, but it is also open to the public, so every year Wildwood has hundreds of visitors flooding it's halls to get a jump on their Christmas shopping!
This year was no different. We had a great turn out and both Wildwood and our vendors were very happy with the turn out. On an even more exciting front, we were able to raise $2,750 for NHCO during the event.
We love hosting this event year after year, and we can not wait for next year!

Bernie Hough on Tri-State PGA

Recently, our former head golf Pro, Bernie Hough, was featured on the Tri-State PGA's series "FORE the Record". This series is where PGA Professionals go on the record, offering insight, intel, and bites of information you may not have known. The feature also includes cameos from Mark Minnaugh (former Club President), David Yokitis (Head Golf Professional), and Tom Fisher (Grounds Superintendent).

Our Furry Friends Have Fun in the Sun
at Annual Doggy Swim

Yesterday, Wildwood held our annual Doggy Swim. Our Doggy Swim is the day in which members can bring their dogs to the Wildwood pool before it gets drained for the year. It always takes place the day after the pool closes for the season (typically the day after Labor Day). This tradition of ours is slowly turning into our furry friends favorite days since they get to have a great time splashing around and playing with the other dogs! Thank you to all of the doggos who attended this year: Ollie, Winston, Flint, Stella, Bodhi, Buzz, Koors, Eloise, Kash, Louie, Otis, Millie, Ellie, Fin, Blue, Shadow, Nelli and Maggie!

Wildwood's Go for the Gold
Fireworks Night was a"Blast"

Despite the early rain in the forecast, Wildwood's annual fireworks night was able to go off without a hitch. This year's theme was "Go for the Gold" and our Committee was able to turn Wildwood's campus into a mirror image of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Besides the amazing fireworks that capped off the night, we had games, a rock wall, an artistic swimming routine performed from our friends at Pittsburgh Artistic Swimming, Chariot Hayrides, and much more. The event was kicked off by an opening ceremony parade that included the all of the kids at the event, and it was led by long time member of the Wildwood community, Patrick Franklin.
All in all it was a great night and we would like to thank everyone on the Fireworks Committee for their help: Diane Minnaugh, Luanne Coury, Sarah Mayer, Kathy Cummins, Cristine Dougherty, Mary Ann Dunkin, Beth Duch, and everyone else who helped decorate the morning of the event. We also want to thank Ed Hollenberger, Jeff Wuenstel, Anthony Fedorka, Alec Lander, Paul Reed, Dean Burgunder and the rest of our staff for all the hard work they put in to this event.

Wildwood's 2nd Annual
High School Match Play Invitational

Yesterday, Wildwood hosted our 2nd Annual High School Match Play Invitational. High School golfers from all over the Pittsburgh area were invited to play and compete in our match play style tournament. Thank you to all of our participants and their families for coming out, all of our volunteers who helped make sure it ran smoothly, and all of our sponsors who allowed the tournament to even be possible! We had a great time hosting this event and look forward to it again next year!

O.A.R. Visits Wildwood

Wildwood had the pleasure of hosting Marc Roberge & Chris Culos from the band O.A.R. before they took the stage in Pittsburgh on Thursday as a part of their summer tour! The two were accompanied by Marc's son Hudson as well as our Superintendent Tom Fisher. Before their round, they trio were great sports and agreed to be apart of our Golf Shop's Pro Tip of the Week which can be found now on our Instagram or Facebook!

Wildwood at the Championship

Last night was the Championship Swim Meet at South Hills Country Club and the official end to the swim season! Some of Wildwood's amazing swimmers were invited to participate in the meet and our very own Quinn Campbell won the 8 & Under 25m freestyle! Congratulations Quinn! Thank you to all of our swimmers, coaches and parents for a great season! See everyone next year!

Swim Team Finishes the Season 5-2

Last night was the last official swim meet of the year and Wildwood finished the season with a record of 5-2! Way to go everyone! Championships are set for this Monday, July 15th, at South Hills Country Club. Congratulations on the great season and good luck on Monday everyone!

As a part of their summer series "The Elite 18", KDKA sports reporters Bob Pompeani and Rich Walsh decided to open this year's new season by showcasing Wildwood's Hole 13! Their segment showcases 18 of the best holes of golf in Western Pennslyvania and we were honored to be chosen.
